Best Custom Merch for Sorority and Greek Life
AUGUST 18, 2026
10 MIN READ

There is no single best shop for sorority or Greek life merch. University Tees if you want a student campus manager and a group-order link. BlueCotton if the date is guaranteed. Fresh Prints if you want trend-heavy campus-rep merch and a giant lookbook. South by Sea if you want a chapter store, a campus manager, and an official-letter licensing workflow. Underground Printing if you are already in their town. CustomInk if you already have art and want a design lab tonight. Couture if you want 420 GSM heavyweight hoodies and crewnecks, free design with unlimited revisions, and a 12-piece minimum.
Third-party roundups already rank this category. This is a first-party matrix with named vendors, who each is for, and Couture as one honest row. We are not inventing competitor GSM, prices, or turnarounds. If a number is not on their public site, the cell is blank or says to confirm with them. For a tighter four-vendor cut, see University Tees vs CustomInk vs Kotis vs RushOrderTees.
Couture is Greek life merch for chapters that want a specified heavyweight blank. More on the fabric spec on our high-quality custom merch page. If you already know the shop you are leaving, use the CustomInk, Underground Printing, Fresh Prints, or South by Sea alternative notes. If the constraint is the calendar, not the vendor, see rush fulfillment. For left-chest vs back vs sleeve vs thigh, see garment placement ideas.

Named chapter drops
Live shops, not mockups:
Who each is for
University Tees. For chapters that want a student Campus Manager on campus, in-house designers, and a group-order workflow (including a collection link). UTees handles Greek and collegiate licensing. Their public group-order materials cite 12 signups to open a Bird Bank collection link, and they advertise opening a box in 7–10 business days. If you want a rep who texts you and walks sizes, this is that model.
CustomInk. For anyone who wants to open a browser, use the Design Lab, and order without a campus rep. Schools, businesses, events, and Greek orgs go through the same self-serve flow. Their help center says many products have no minimum; screen print, embroidery, and some other methods list a min on the product page. Standard delivery is often described as about two weeks. Will print Greek art. Not a Greek-only shop.
Fresh Prints. For chapters that want trend-heavy collegiate merch and a huge design and photo library. Their public brand is “America’s favorite collegiate merch.” Campus-rep / collegiate merch company. A third-party roundup (Stylelisty) cites about 11–14 days standard. We do not have a first-party minimum to cite, so confirm with them. Pick Fresh Prints when the lookbook and the campus-rep motion matter more than a specified GSM.
South by Sea. For chapters that want a campus manager, free mockups, and an online chapter store / buy-link so members order individually. They say they are Greek-licensed. Designs go to Greek licensing (they say 2–3 business days, peak about 4). Their own FAQ recommends a 10-piece minimum per printed design and lists 9–12 business days on standard orders. Pick SxS if official-letter licensing plus a chapter store is the job.
BlueCotton. For orders where the date is non-negotiable. Their site lists a 6-piece minimum, guaranteed delivery, in-house Kentucky production, and published rush tiers: Shirts in a Day, Super Rush, 5-day, and standard around 10 days. Digital Merchant calls them “best overall” for reliability. Not a Greek-only shop. Pick BlueCotton when missing the date is worse than missing a campus rep.
Underground Printing. For walk-in, in-store pickup, and chapters already in their town. They list 30 store locations, including Ann Arbor, and they are a contracted University of Michigan apparel vendor. Their homepage advertises no minimums. We are not assigning them a GSM. They are the local printer, not a heavyweight-blank specialist. Couture does not have storefronts.
Couture. For chapters and campus orgs that want 420 GSM heavyweight hoodies and crewnecks, free design with unlimited revisions, and a 12-piece minimum. Standard turnaround is 2–3 weeks after design approval. Rush is 7–10 days. Starting prices: Heavyweight Hoodie $58, Crewneck $53, Quarterzip $53, Sweatpants $58, Classic T-shirt $26. Founded at the University of Michigan. 150+ Greek chapters and campus orgs. No campus-rep network. No self-serve design lab.
RushOrderTees (short mention). The speed / no-minimum printed option. Their help center lists no minimum on printed apparel and a 6-piece embroidery minimum. Licensed Greek. They market rush shipping and about two weeks standard. Use it for an emergency tee, not as a heavyweight chapter wardrobe shop.
Kotis (closed Greek shop). Kotis says its Greek division is closed (kotisdesign.com/college/). They still work with departments, clubs, RSOs, and a swag platform. Not a bid-day row.

University Tees
University Tees is the campus-rep company. You get a student Campus Manager, designers on staff, and a group-order motion that includes a collection link. That is a real advantage if you want someone in the same dining hall walking sizes. They also list Greek and collegiate licensing.
The tradeoff is the model. Service quality follows the person on your campus. Blanks are chosen to a price point, which is useful for a budget. Ask what garment you are actually getting before you assume it is heavyweight. We are not assigning them a GSM.
CustomInk
CustomInk is the default Google result for custom shirts. The Design Lab is the product. You can place an order at 11 p.m. without talking to anyone. That is why businesses and one-off events use it, and why some chapters use it when they already have a file.
It is a generalist. The same flow that prints a 5k shirt prints a rush shirt. If you want a dedicated chapter process, unlimited design revisions with no design invoice, or a specified 420 GSM blank, you are asking CustomInk to be something it is not. More in our CustomInk alternative piece.
Fresh Prints
Fresh Prints sells collegiate merch at campus-rep scale. The public brand is “America’s favorite collegiate merch,” and the lookbook is the pitch: a huge design and photo library so a chapter can point at a vibe instead of starting from a blank canvas.
We do not have a first-party minimum to publish. Stylelisty’s ~11–14 day standard is third-party, not their site. Confirm both. Pick Fresh Prints when trend and the campus-rep catalog are the job. Pick a specified-blank shop when the garment weight is the job.
South by Sea
South by Sea is built for Greek chapters that want a human on campus and a store link for members. They say they are Greek-licensed. Mockups are free with unlimited revisions on their FAQ. Designs go through Greek licensing (2–3 business days, peak about 4). Members can order individually on a buy-link.
Their FAQ recommends 10 pieces per printed design and lists 9–12 business days on standard orders. That is first-party, not a guess. Pick SxS if official letters plus a chapter store is what you are buying. They also say they print for non-Greek groups; the licensing workflow is the Greek-specific reason to choose them.
BlueCotton
BlueCotton is the reliability row. Six-piece minimum. In-house in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Guaranteed delivery. Published rush ladder: Shirts in a Day, Super Rush, 5-day, standard around 10 days. Digital Merchant’s “best overall” note is about that clock, not about Greek process.
They are not a chapter design partner and not a Greek-only shop. If bid day is Tuesday and the file is done, this is a sensible vendor. If you still need the letters drawn, you need a design shop first.
Underground Printing
Underground Printing is the local printer. 30 store locations, Ann Arbor on the list, and a contracted UMich apparel vendor. Walk in, pick up, reprint, or keep a store running. Their homepage advertises no minimums and a 2-day Lightning Rush. We are not citing a piece minimum we cannot see on a product page, and we are not inventing a GSM.
Couture does not have storefronts. If you need to stand at a counter this afternoon, Underground is the pick. If you need a specified 420 GSM hoodie designed with the chapter, that is a different job. More in our Underground Printing alternative note.
Couture
Couture is the 420 GSM, free-design option. We mock up the letters or the screenshot, revise until you approve, then produce. 12-piece minimum. 2–3 weeks after approval, or 7–10 days on rush. Starting prices are in the matrix. Founded at Michigan. 150+ Greek chapters and campus orgs. We do not run campus reps and we do not sell a design lab.
If you want a student on your quad collecting sizes, University Tees or South by Sea is built for that. If you want to click through a lab tonight, CustomInk is built for that. If the date cannot move, BlueCotton is built for that. If the job is everyday chapter wear that still looks like itself in March, that is the row we occupy.

FAQ
What is the best custom merch for a sorority or Greek life chapter?
There is no single best shop. University Tees if you want a campus manager and a group-order link. BlueCotton if the date is guaranteed. Fresh Prints if you want trend-heavy campus-rep merch and a giant lookbook. South by Sea if you want a chapter store plus official-letter licensing. Underground Printing if you are already in their town. CustomInk if you already have art and want a design lab. Couture if you want 420 GSM heavyweight hoodies and crewnecks, free design with unlimited revisions, and a 12-piece minimum.
Who should order from Couture instead of University Tees or CustomInk?
Couture if the chapter wants a specified 420 GSM hoodie or crewneck, free one-on-one design, and a 12-piece minimum. University Tees if you want a student Campus Manager and a Bird Bank collection link. CustomInk if you already have a file and want to use a self-serve Design Lab tonight. Couture does not run a campus-rep network or a self-serve design lab.
When are Fresh Prints or South by Sea the right pick?
Fresh Prints if the chapter wants trend-heavy collegiate merch and a huge design and photo library from a campus-rep company. South by Sea if you want a campus manager, free mockups, an online chapter store so members order individually, and designs submitted through Greek licensing. South by Sea’s FAQ recommends a 10-piece minimum per printed design and lists 9–12 business days on standard orders.
When is BlueCotton the right pick for Greek merch?
BlueCotton if the date is non-negotiable. They publish a 6-piece minimum, in-house Kentucky production, guaranteed delivery, and rush tiers (Shirts in a Day, Super Rush, 5-day, and standard around 10 days). They are a reliability pick, not a Greek-only shop.
Does Couture have a campus-rep network or a 12-piece minimum?
No campus-rep network and no self-serve design lab. The minimum is 12 pieces per design.
Is RushOrderTees or Kotis still a Greek merch option?
RushOrderTees is the speed and no-minimum printed-apparel option (6-piece embroidery minimum on their help center; licensed Greek). Kotis’s Greek division is closed. Kotis still works with departments, clubs, RSOs, and a swag platform — not bid-day chapter drops.
